Battle of the Chefs Begins on TOP CHEF MEXICO Tonight on NBC Universo

NBC UNIVERSO, the modern entertainment and sports cable channel for Latinos, presents the sixth episode of TOP CHEF MEXICO today, March 24 at 9PM ET/8C. Today's episode forgoes the traditional Quick-fire challenge and delves right into the first ever double elimination challenge - Restaurant Wars.

Last week, Diana Kennedy, the legendary authority on Mexican Cuisine, stopped by the TOP CHEF kitchen and challenged the chefs to create authentic Mexican dishes worthy of Aztec Emperor Moctezuma. After the offerings were made to the newly appointed emperor, and winner of the Quick-fire challenge, Matteo Salas, it was Adriana Solis who was cut from the competition.

Today, the chefs are in for the elimination challenge of a lifetime when host Ana Claudia Talancón separates the remaining contestants into 2 teams for the TOP CHEF Classic Restaurant Wars. In less than 24 hours, the teams are expected to create a full service restaurant equipped to serve very important, and hungry, guests. The judges evaluate each team based on a variety of factors including the concept, service, quality of the dishes, and the menu in its entirety. As the saying goes, all is fair in love and war, and the chefs stop at nothing to win the coveted title of Top Chef.
