BYE BYE BIRDIE's Nolan Gerard Funk Cast in Bret Easton Ellis' Film THE CANYONS

Writer Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho) announced today on Twitter (@BretEastonEllis) that he has cast Nolan Gerard Funk in the upcoming film, The Canyons, also starring Lindsay Lohan and porn star James Deen and directed by Paul Schrader.
Ellis wrote, "NOLAN FUNK as Ryan. I'll be announcing the rest of the cast of THE CANYONS this week."According to Kickstarter, which Ellis and Schrader used to raise more than $159,000 for the film, The Canyons is a "contemporary thriller" that "documents five twenty-something's quest for power, love, sex and success in 2012 Hollywood."
Funk played Conrad Birdie in the 2009 Roundabout revival of Bye Bye Birdie on Broadway. Funk is currently filming The Movie and has appeared on screen in Spectacular! and X2, as well as TV's Supernatural, The L Word, Smallville, Warehouse 13, Lie to Me, Detroit 187, Hellcats and Castle and Aliens in America.
