SHIVA!! Welcome to my recap of FXX's THE LEAGUE! I am a recent fan of the show, I ravenously watched every episode in under two weeks, and I am in love with this show, and decided that I need to spread the love to others! So, starting with this recap of the current season's first few episodes, I will be bringing you a weekly recap of THE LEAGUE! Exciting right?

The first episode of Season Six, "Sitting Shiva" starts on a somber note, when League member Ted dies while on video chat with the group. THE LEAGUE attends his funeral, and they find out that in his will, Ted left his California beach house to whomever wins the Shiva Bowl this year.

In episode two, "Tefl-Andre," the guys are having a hard time making fun of Andre now that he is the number one plastic surgeon in Chicago and the confidence that comes with it. Andre also out of nowhere begins to have great comebacks to all the guys attempts at making fun of him, causing THE LEAGUE to get even more frustrated. That is, until they find out that Andre is using Jay Glazer to come up with his comebacks, and the minute THE LEAGUE finds out, balance is restored and Andre is back to being the brunt of everyone's jokes.

Meanwhile, Baby Geoffrey is on Ruxin's company-sponsored baseball team, and Ruxin is worried because Geoffrey isn't that good, and he needs to impress the coach in order to get in good graces with his boss. Baby Geoffrey accidently uses Kevin's testosterone cream when he's in their bathroom, but it ends up making him great at baseball, so, Ruxin being Ruxin, steals the cream. What results is Baby Geoffrey going through early puberty and eventually getting kicked off the team when his pants rip and everyone sees his "meaty clackers."

Also, due to the conditions of Ted's will, they need 8th member for their League, so they reinstate Russell, former sex addict, and current wine connoisseur.

In "The Height Supremacist," Ruxin is banished to South Korea by his company after the baseball fiasco, but still manages to insult THE LEAGUE through video chats and phone calls.

We also find out that Jenny is a "height supremacist" and her comments to Kevin's boss, Mr. Lipscum, puts Kevin's job in hot water. To combat this they make a video of Ellie asking football player Darren Sproles to her Sadie-Hawkins dance, to prove that she isn't a height supremacist, and also to ask him fantasy questions of course.

Pete joins Taco-Corp as a board member, but quits before THE LEAGUE finds out that Mark Cuban bought Taco's EBDB Database for 1.1 million dollars.

In the 4th episode, "When Rafi Met Randy" we find out that Rafi and Randy met while in a mental institution. Rafi was institutionalized when his wife and two children were crushed and killed before his very eyes by a man who fell from a construction crane. Randy was institutionalized when he accidently made his best friend fall from a construction crane. (See the connection there). Rafi vows to murder whoever killed is family. Rafi and Randy become friends in the institution over their shared love of electro-shock therapy. After an attempt at escaping they are caught and are going to be sent to be lobotomized, until Randy tells the nurse he wants to check himself out, since he voluntarily went to the institution. Randy leaves, but not before telling Rafi it was him who was the cause of his family's death. As Rafi is about to get a lobotomy, Randy breaks in and saves him, they both leave and their best-friendship is solidified. In the present day, we find out that Dirty Randy revives the thought to be dead Rafi, and everything is ok! (Thank goodness, I don't know what I would have done if Rafi was off the show).

Episode five, "The Hot Tub," Jenny gets Kevin a hot tub for their "sex-iversary " in order to spice up their love life, since Kevin has been having trouble (hence the testosterone cream). The hot tub still doesn't help, so Russell tells Kevin about these "love pants" that are so thin he will experience the world in a whole new way. Kevin buys the thinnest pants Russell's guy sells, and plans to wear them on a date night with Jenny. Kevin, however, doesn't listen to Russell's warning and wears them without underwear. Kevin then runs into Sofia Ruxin, and after an unfortunate series of being pushed up against her in a tight space, he ends up ejaculating on her, causing her and Ruxin to freak out, and Kevin to run away in shame.

"Breast Awareness Month," episode six, is probably one of the most offensive episodes of THE LEAGUE yet, but done so well that it's also one of the funniest episodes. Jenny takes Ellie to get frozen yogurt, and has on a bandana since she was gardening, so everyone at the yogurt place was being extra nice, and they even got free yogurt. Jenny doesn't realize that it is because everyone thinks she has Breast Cancer, until Kevin points it out at home. Later, they have to go to a bake sale at Ellie's school, and Jenny realizes she forgot to make something, and knows she's going to get scolded by a mom at the school, so she puts the bandana on and insinuates she has cancer. This leads another mom to invite Jenny and Kevin to their cancer support group that's just about to start. Jenny allows everyone to believe she has cancer that is until Taco- who formed a "Breast Awareness Month" since he feels like breasts are being forgotten- is speaking to the support group and insults Jenny's relatively small breasts. The support group, believing Jenny has had Breast Cancer, commends her on her strong choice not to get implants after having a double mastectomy, which enrages Jenny, because she believes she has great breasts, and leads her to revealing her breasts to the entire group. This prompts the group to ask her if she even has cancer, to which she says no, and she and Kevin leave out of shame (a recurring factor in the MacArthur family).

Meanwhile, Pete has to convince everyone he doesn't have an "Asian Thing" after dating two Asian girls at work in a row. He asks an awkward girl at work, Shauna, who likes him out on a date before his date with the second Asian girl, Amy, in order to prove to his boss he doesn't have a thing. He goes out with Shauna and makes sure to post a bunch of pictures on social media so that his boss can see. He successfully proves he doesn't have a thing, and the next day he goes to break up with Shauna but she breaks up with him first, saying he is like a "shallow pool" with nothing to offer. A semi-shocked Pete goes to confirm his date with Amy and finds out that she's only dating Pete as a buffer so the office doesn't know she has a black thing. Karma, Pete, karma.

So that's the recap of the episodes that have aired so far on this season of THE LEAGUE! I will be here to recap the rest of the season each week as the episodes air, so make sure to come back every Wednesday for my recap! And make sure to watch THE LEAGUE Wednesday's at 10pm on FXX.
