The Hindenburg. Abraham Lincoln's assassination, and now, Rat Pack-era Las Vegas. Our favorite trio on TIMELESS is certainly making their rounds. We're still not sure why Flynn is targeting these specific historical events: aside from Lucy's, no one else's timeline has been obviously altered just yet. What we do know is that Connor Mason is up to no good and that Mason and his company is somehow connected to the mysterious Rittenhouse group. Oh, and there's also all that nonsense about a nuclear bomb under Vegas. Right.

There are still a ton of questions to be answered (who exactly is Rittenhouse? What's Flynn's deal? Is there any way we can make Lucy and Robert Todd Lincoln's relationship work please?), but tonight's episode is only the third episode, so we've got some time. And if TIMELESS continues mixing the right amount of quirky self-awareness in with its drama, we'll all be in for quite the enjoyable ride.

Join me here and on Twitter @CourtHenley tonight at 10 PM EST as I recap the newest episode of TIMELESS live! (There will probably be a few historical and/or jazzy puns thrown in for good measure, so consider yourselves warned.)

10:04: Well Lucy's off to a great start in this new timeline. Forgetting your engagement and then leaving leaving your ring in the bathroom? Not exactly the best way to wrap up an engagement party you seemingly forgot. Poor Lucy.

Mason needs Rufus...about Anthony? Anthony, a former co-worker, seems to have helped Flynn from the inside, but Rufus isn't convinced. Anthony was a victim, not the perp.

10:08: Sinatra? JFK? Vegas in the '60s seems much more interesting than Vegas today. I can't blame Flynn for going back there - anyone who's anyone was in Vegas.

What's this? A countdown? It's not New Year's, though - it's a countdown to the detonation of an atomic bomb dangerously close to the city. And who's watching it but JFK and his...mistress? Looks like Kennedy's got some explaining to do!

10:16: Never knew that about Vegas being called Atomic City!

One perk of disguising yourself as a waitress in the 1960s: getting to see The Rat Pack in person. One drawback: getting treated pretty poorly by customers.

10:18: Oh, nice! Rufus found Anthony! But he also found out that Anthony is helping Flynn. Not so nice. Or is it? Honestly, we don't know enough about Flynn's motives at this point to decide whether or not he's a bad guy, but I'm starting to think he may be on the right side of the moral division here after all.

10:21: Turns out JFK's mistress is way more than just a mistress! She's a go-between for JFK and the mob in their attempts to get to Fidel Castro, and she's been threatened by Flynn.

10:26: Eh oh, looks like Anthony is starting to have second thoughts.

10:35: I like this lady. She's sassy. And bold.

Meanwhile, Rufus and Lucy look for Christy Pitt...and can't find her.

10:40: This lady is good, but if she continues to trust Flynn, she's going to find herself in a fair bit of trouble.

Aww, poor Wyatt, sending a telegram to his future wife! Quick, somebody get this guy a hug!

Aaaah, not the Christy Pitt - a Christy pit! (Slang for an atom bomb's plutonium core, as Rufus kindly explains.) That makes much more sense...kind of. What does Flynn want to do with an atom bomb?

10:46: Flynn needs Anthony in order to steal the atomic core of the bomb. As if this wasn't dangerous enough on its own, Wyatt, Rufus, and Lucy think he's going to try and take it back to the present day. Yep - time traveling with a radioactive bomb core. Pretty sure there's a warning label about that on there somewhere.

10:50: After all of that, we learn that Judith's life goes pretty south and Anthony switched the briefcases containing the nuclear core?! Come on!

10:56: Wyatt's telegram didn't work, either?! Oh man, they all really need hugs.

10:58: Well, at least Lucy's "we need to take a break" moment with her fiancee went well, relatively speaking.

11:00: If Flynn's face at the end is any indication, he's pretty darn happy about his circumstances at the moment...which probably means everyone else should be terrified.

Next week, we travel to Nazi Germany, and I'm not sure there will be any more dangerous scenario this group could possibly find themselves in. Hopefully sometime soon we'll discover what exactly each group is fighting for, otherwise all these little field trips through time will remain nothing more than that.
