The producers of Breakthroughs with Martin Sheen have announced an upcoming report showcasing how American vineyards are taking a place among the world's finest sources for wine while also creating a positive economic impact through tourism.

Breakthroughs Martin Sheen PBS is an independently produced television series airing in markets around the country on public television. The program is hosted by the legendary Martin Sheen, who is about to embark on his second half-century in American entertainment in 2013. Mr. Sheen has developed a reputation as one of Hollywood's most respected actors during a career that includes more than 60 film appearances.

Breakthroughs Martin Sheen reviews how communities around the country are building identities through their finest products. In Northern California, that means wine production.

Over 90 percent of all wine produced in the United States comes from this beautiful part of the country, which is drawing tourists from around the world to taste some of these beautifully crafted labels. In this upcoming report set to debut this spring, audiences will see how these wines are making a name for the region and how local businesses are benefitting from vineyard and winery tourists.

The producers of Breakthroughs Martin Sheen are targeting an April distribution date for the new report.
