Aziz Ansari to Star in New Netflix Comedy Series

TVLine reports that Netflix has ordered a 10-episode half-hour comedy series starring PARKS & REC funnyman Aziz Ansari. The series will be executive-produced by former PARKS AND RECREATION boss Michael Schur.

Ansari created the project alongside Alan Yang. Set in New York, the series is currently untitled and details on the premise are unknown. The cast will include Jon Benjamin (Bob's Burgers), Lena Waithe (The Comeback), Eric Wareheim (Tim & Eric's Bedtime Stories), Noel Wells (Saturday Night Live) and Kelvin Yu (Popular).

Ansari recently headlined two comedy specials for Netflix, including a live performance from New York's Madison Square Garden.
