'Arrow's John Barrowman to Guest on ABC's SCANDAL

According to The Hollywood Reporter, John Barrowman will guest star on an upcoming episode of the ABC drama series SCANDAL. Series showrunner Shonda Rhimes shared the news on Twitter yesterday posting, "John Barrowman is here working at @ScandalABCtoday. Life is good. #torchwood #captainjack #iamanerd""

No details have been reveiled as to the character Barrowman will play on the episode set to air on May 9th. The actor currently stars in the CW's new drama series Arrow.

About ABC's SCANDAL:

Everyone has secrets... and Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) has dedicated her life to protecting and defending the public images of the nation's elite by keeping those secrets under wraps. Revered and feared at the same time, Olivia, a former communications director to the President of the United States, left the White House to open her own prominent crisis management firm. Her staff are at the top of their game when it comes to getting the job done, but it becomes apparent that these "gladiators in suits" who specialize in fixing the lives of other people sometimes can't lives closer at hand, their own. "Scandal" stars Kerry Washington ("Ray") as Olivia Pope, Columbus Short ("Stomp the Yard") as Harrison Wright, Guillermo Diaz ("Half-Baked") as Huck, Darby Stanchfield as Abby Whelan, Katie Lowes as Quinn Perkins, Tony Goldwyn ("Ghost") as President FitzGerald Grant, Jeff Perry ("Grey's Anatomy") as Cyrus Beene, BellAmy Young as First Lady Mellie Grant and Joshua Malina ("West Wing") as David Rosen.

The series is created by Shonda Rhimes ("Grey's Anatomy," "Private Practice"). Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers ("Grey's Anatomy," "Private Practice") are executive producers. Judy Smith is co-executive producer. "Scandal" is produced by ABC Studios.

Scandal airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
