Anthony Rapp and Kate Walsh to Lead Gay Drama Film MODERN LOVE

According to Variety, Broadway's Anthony Rapp, along with Kate Walsh and Jonathan Bennett, has signed on for the upcoming gay marriage drama MODERN LOVE.

Joshua Tunick wrote and will direct the film, which follows "an intimate group of friends and family gathering at the home of two gay men to celebrate their nuptials. When the wedding hits a snag, the group helps the grooms to see that all marriages have their challenges."

Eric Kops, Dave Perkal and Tunick are producing.

Rapp's recent big screen credits include the short film GRIND, as well as JUNCTION, THE OTHER WOMAN and more. He will soon appear in OPENING NIGHT and DREAMLAND.

The actor last starred on Broadway in IF/THEN. Among his past Broadway credits are RENT (he reprised his role in the 2005 film), YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION, PRECIOUS SONS and THE LITTLE PRINCE AND THE AVIATOR. Rapp's show WITHOUT YOU recently appeared in the West End, and he has also starred in several off-Broadway productions.

Walsh's recent TV credits include GREY'S ANATOMY, PRIVATE PRACTICE, FARGO, and BAD JUDGE. Her upcoming film projects include DERMAPHORIA and EVERYTHING CARRIES ME TO YOU.

Bennett will next be seen in the films DO OVER, CATS DANCING ON JUPITER, LIMELIGHT, LIFE OF THE PARTY, PAID IN FULL, SUBMERGED, DEADLY RETREAT, DAY SIX and A DOGWALKER'S CHRISTMAS TALE. He is well known for his role as 'Aaron Samuels' in the movie MEAN GIRLS.
