Amy Schumer Cancels Remainder of Comedy Tour Due to Pregnancy Complications

Comedian Amy Schumer recently took to Instagram to announced that she has cancelled the remainder of her tour due to pregnancy complications.

"Due to COMPLICATIONS from hyperemesis, I am not cleared to fly for the next couple of weeks," she wrote. "I am going to cancel the remainder of my tour. Refunds are available at point of purchase."

She says that she and the baby are healthy but she is still struggling with nausea and vomiting in her third trimester.

"I wanted to push through and do my shows. Because I hate letting people down and I love stand-up and money!" she wrote. "But more than that I have to think about my health and the baby."

Schumer is a stand-up comedian and actress. She is the creator, co-producer, co-writer, and star of the Comedy Central sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer.

Schumer wrote and made her film debut in a starring role in Trainwreck in 2015, for which she received nominations for the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Motion Picture Comedy or Musical.

She published a memoir in 2016, The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, which topped The New York Times Non-Fiction Best Seller list for two weeks. The same year, she received two Grammy Award nominations for Best Comedy Album for Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo and Best Spoken Word Album for The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo. In 2018, she starred in the comedy film I Feel Pretty. She made her Broadway debut in Meteor Shower and received a Tony nomination for Best Actress in a Play.
