American Heroes Channel Unveils Programming for 3-Day 'Heroes Weekend'

Admiring the valor of those who fought to defend our rights and liberties, AMERICAN HEROES CHANNEL (AHC) is proud to unveil its 2017 HEROES WEEKEND. Starting Friday, April 28 at 8/7c, AHC is dedicating three days of programming to the courageous veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect and preserve the freedoms we enjoy today. The HEROES WEEKEND programming lineup will encore airings of some of AHC's hit series, including the network's flagship program AGAINST THE ODDS; WORLD WAR II IN COLOR; D-DAY TO VICTORY; and THE BATTLE I'LL NEVER FORGET. The complete schedule for HEROES WEEKEND is as follows:

FRIDAY, APRIL 28

PEARL HARBOR DECLASSIFIED

Airs at 8/7c

PEARL HARBOR DECLASSIFIED is a one-hour forensic dissection of an event within the event that galvanized the world - the bombing at Pearl Harbor. The attack on US soil led to the American declaration of war, which in turn, helped propel the Allies into total victory in World War II.

PACIFIC SECRETS: PEARL HARBOR

We thought we knew what happened at Pearl Harbor, but many mysterious stories have emerged. PACIFIC SECRETS: PEARL HARBOR investigates a fleet of small submarines that launched a covert assault from the sea long before the first planes arrived.

PEARL HARBOR: THE HEROES WHO FOUGHT BACK

The bombing of Pearl Harbor thrust the United States into World War II - a bloody, costly battle from which it would not emerge for nearly four years. AHC explores the little-told stories of the heroes who turned this attack from a story of chaos and defeat, into a tale of valor and patriotism.

D-DAY TO VICTORY chronicles the final years of the Allied campaign during the Second World War. Each episode tells the story of an iconic battle and hones in on the personal experiences of front-line personnel through moving interviews with WWII veterans.

AGAINST THE ODDS

Airs from 12/11c-3/2c

AHC's flagship series, AGAINST THE ODDS showcases awe-inspiring stories of bravery, solidarity and strength on the battlefield. It's the real-life "Band of Brothers" as they come together to do whatever it takes to overcome the cards stacked against them.

THE BATTLE I'LL NEVER FORGET

Airs at 4/3c

THE BATTLE I'LL NEVER FORGET chronicles critical battles in American warfare history that otherwise might be forgotten The program features three personal war stories showcasing battles fought in World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Iraq War. Veterans who fought and lived to tell their harrowing tales share incredible recollections of life in the war zones and take viewers on an emotional journey as describe gripping details of patriotism, brotherhood and heroism.

In addition to AHC's HEROES WEEKEND programming line-up, the network has teamed once again with veteran owned clothing company Nine Line Apparel for a special promotion honoring our nation's heroes. The week leading in HEROES WEEKEND, AHC and Nine Line are co-hosting an #HonorYourHero photo contest, where fans can nominate their heroes for the chance to win an exclusive Nine Line - AHC gear bundle (winners to be announced May 1).
