Adrian Grenier ("Entourage") and Amy Smart ("Justified") have been cast as the leads in A WORTHWHILE LIFE, a new, original movie premiering on Hallmark CHANNEL in 2017. Production is set to begin this month in and around Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mary Landers (Smart) is a young woman whose hope for an engagement is unexpectedly upended when her fiancé tells her he is looking for someone more adventurous. On her train ride home, she trades glances with James Fielding (Grenier), a handsome stranger who appears to be the larger than life adventurer she is not. As throngs of shoppers exit the train all that is left of the mystery man is the phone he accidentally left behind. Mary endeavors to return it to him and finds herself on a journey of self-discovery. In the process she realizes that she may not be so different from the intriguing man who crossed her path after all. Grenier is best known for his role as actor Vincent Chase on the hit HBO series "Entourage," for which he earned three Screen Actors Guild award nominations for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Most recently he was in the feature films Marauders and Trash Fire and is in the upcoming Public Affairs. Additionally, Grenier is producing the documentary 52: The Search for the Loneliest Whale. Smart is familiar to audiences for her roles in Varsity Blues, The Butterfly Effect and Just Friends, among others, and has appeared on the series "Justified" and "Shameless."
