Last night AMERICAN IDOL took us back to the days and nights of "staying alive" as this week the show presented, DISCO NIGHT! As usual Adam Lambert did not disappoint, he performed a dynamic arrangement of the Yvonne Elliman hit "If I Can't Have You." He acted like a goth 'Tony Manero' and made the song his own.

Tonight on the results show America agreed as Lambert made it to the next round and is now a member of the Top 5 finalists. Lambert remarked upon learning he was once again "safe" - that he had "sung the lyrics honestly" and thought that people would like his take on "If I Can't Have You."

Both Lil' Rounds and Anoop Desai were given the "hustle" and sent home.

AMERICAN IDOL's theme last week was "Songs From The Cinema", with special guest Quentin Tarentino. Adam Lambert rocked the evening with "Born To be Wild." The song was performed by Steppenwolf on the soundtrack for the 1969 film "Easy Rider."

On last Wednesday's results show, Lambert was once again voted through, making him a member of the show's Top 7.

Adam Lambert's Ring of Fire and Tracks of My Tears performances in past weeks have had everyone talking, every week the question is how high will he soar?!

In addition to performing in WICKEDAdam Lambert also had a role in The Ten Commandments and appeared in The Zodiac Show.

AMERICAN IDOL is created and executive-produced by Simon Fuller, founder of 19 Entertainment; and executive-produced by Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO, FremantleMedia North America; and Ken Warwick, Executive Producer, FremantleMedia North America.
