Aaron Lazar Guests on ABC's UGLY BETTY 12/4

Broadway's Aaron Lazar will guest star on next weeks episode of the ABC hit sitcom "Ugly Betty", he'll be playing the role of "Claudio". The episode airs, Thursday, December 4th at 8pm (EST).

The episode is described in ABC press notes as,  "Bad Amanda- Betty is forced to take a page from scam-artist Amanda's book when the two, both cash-strapped, team up for a Mode website article about "How I Blew Ten Grand Without Spending a Dime" during a night on the town in NYC they'll never forget".

Aaron Lazar was last seen on Broadway in the musical, A TALE OF TWO CITIES. He also created the role of Enjolras in the recent revival of Les Misérables. His other Broadway credits include The Light in the Piazza, Oklahoma and The Phantom of the Opera.

"Ugly Betty" stars America Ferrera as Betty Suarez, Eric Mabius as Daniel Meade, Tony Plana as Ignacio, Ana Ortiz as Hilda, Ashley Jensen as Christina, Becki Newton as Amanda, Mark Indelicato as Justin, Michael Urie as Marc, Judith Light as Claire Meade and Vanessa Williams as Wilhelmina Slater. Rebecca Romijn is a recurring guest star as Alexis Meade.

Also starring are Grant Bowler as Connor Owens, Sarah Lafleur as Molly, Toks Olagundoye as the salesgirl, Mercer Boffey as Luka, Matt Wilkas as the manager and Nicole Roderick as the temp.

"Bad Amanda" was written by Chris Black and directed by John Putch.

This episode of "Ugly Betty" will be available on ABC.com the day after airing on the network for users to watch online.

"Ugly Betty" is a Golden Globe and Emmy winning comedy starring America Ferrera in the title role, along with Eric Mabius, Judith Light, Rebecca Romijn and Vanessa Williams. The series premiered on September 28, 2006, on ABC in the United States. It follows the life of the unglamorous and good-natured Betty Suarez (Ferrera), and her incongruous job at the ultra-chic New York City fashion magazine Mode.

Based on Yo Soy Betty La Fea, the groundbreaking Colombian telenovela that became an international phenomenon, "Ugly Betty" is from ABC Studios. The series was awarded Golden Globe, Peabody, NAACP, ALMA and Imagen Awards, and earned 11 Emmy nominations, the most for any comedy series on any network. Academy Award-nominee and Emmy Award winner Salma Hayek is executive producer, along with Silvio Horta (Urban Legend), Marco Pennette (Caroline in the City), Jose Tamez (The Maldonado Miracle) and James Hayman (Joan of Arcadia).
