ABC's Special SHARK TANK Dominates Fox's Comedy Premieres in Timeslot

Doubling its lead-in at 9:00 p.m. (+100%), ABC's special "Shark Tank" beat Fox's comedy premieres in the hour by 20% in Adults 18-49 (1.2/4 vs. 1.0/3 - "Brooklyn 9-9"/"The Grinder").
"Beyond the Tank" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 3.9 million and 1.1/4 in AD18-49):Holding 92% of its lead-in at 10:00 p.m. against original dramas on CBS and NBC, a special preview of "Beyond the Tank" tied ABC's highest Adult 18-49 rating (1.1/4) with a 10:00 p.m. telecast in the hour since season-premiere Tuesday 15 weeks ago - since 9/22/15. Please note: "Beyond the Tank" premieres in its regular time slot this Thursday (1/7/16) at 10:00 p.m. Projections Rationale:
Lifts vs. L+SD are based on the 2015-16 season for premiere telecast or an average for originals (excluding the premiere).
Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
New Series: Based on similar series. A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 48% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience
