ABC's GOOD MORNING AMERICA is No. 1 for Week

ABC News' "Good Morning America" was the morning's No. 1 news program in Total Viewers (5.146 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.828 million) for the week of July 1, 2013, according to Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" outdelivered No. 2 ranked NBC's "Today" (4.391 million and 1.712 million, respectively) by +755,000 Total Viewers and by +116,000 Adults 25-54. "GMA" more than tripled its Total Viewer advantage over "Today" compared to its year-ago week lead (+211%, +243,000 for w/o 7/2/12). Also, GoodMorningAmerica.com on Yahoo! reached 24.4 million users last month. It is the No. 1 morning news website and beats Today.com by millions of users each month.
"GMA" has ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers in all 40 weeks of the season, turning in its largest number of No. 1 finishes during a season in 20 years - since the 1992-93 season. In addition, the ABC morning newscast has ranked No. 1 every week in Total Viewers for more than 10 months (the last 46 weeks - since w/o 8/13/12). "GMA's" 46 consecutive weeks at the top stand as its longest stretch at No. 1 in more than 21 years - since before the 1991-92 season; Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991. Winning the week in Adults 25-54, "GMA" has ranked No. 1 in 33 of the 40 weeks this season. The ABC morning program is delivering its highest number of No. 1 finishes in the key adult news demo during a season in 20 years - since the 1992-93 season.
