ABC's "Good Morning America" ranked as morning's No. 1 newscast in Total Viewers (4.585 million), Adults 25-54 (1.633 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.116 million) for the week of July 27, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" outperformed "Today" (4.071 million, 1.515 million and 1.104 million, respectively) by 514,000 Total Viewers, by 118,000 Adults 25-54 and by 12,000 Adults 18-49. In fact, "GMA" saw its largest news overall viewer lead over "Today" in 6 weeks and biggest in the key adult news demo in 4 weeks - since weeks of 6/15/15 and 6/29/15, respectively.
"GMA" turned in increases from the previous week (4.318 million, 1.472 million and 1.003 million on w/o 7/20/15) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+6%), Adults 25-54 (+11%) and Adults 18-49 (+11%), hitting 6-week highs in both key adult demos - since w/o 6/15/15. In addition, "GMA" grew the most in Total Viewers and stood as the only morning program to grow in any key adult demo as both CBS' "CBS This Morning" (flat/-7%/-7%) and NBC's "Today" (+1%/-1%/-3%) were down mixed. Season to date, "GMA" is the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. "GMA" is leading "Today" by 556,000 Total Viewers and by 109,000 Adults 25-54. In fact, "GMA" is ranking No. 1 for the 3rd straight season in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. During the week, "GMA" beat "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+47%/+1.459 million), Adults 25-54 (+98%/+809,000) and Adults 18-49 (+97%/+550,000).
