ABC earned second place on Monday night in Total Viewers (8.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.4/5 - tying CBS with the series debut of "Man with a Plan").
From 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" built from the prior week in Total Viewers (+3% - 10.9 million vs. 10.6 million) and held even with Adults 18-49 (1.6/5), marking its most watched telecast since its season premiere 6 weeks ago - since 9/12/16. In fact, "Dancing" delivered its closest finish this season with NBC' "The Voice" to nearly catch it as night's most watched show, coming within 100,000 viewers (10.9 million vs. 11.0 million). "Conviction" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.9 million and 0.8/3 in AD18-49): At 10:00 p.m., ABC freshman "Conviction" grew by double digits week to week in Total Viewers (+17% - 4.9 million vs. 4.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (+14% - 0.8/3 vs. 0.7/3), pulling in its largest audience in 3 weeks. "Conviction" improved its time slot year to year by 9% in Total Viewers ("Castle" on 10/28/15 = 4.5 million). "Conviction" spikes by a best-yet 71% in Live + 3 Day: Last week's third episode of "Conviction" scored the series' biggest L+3 increase yet among Adults 18-49 and stood as last Monday's No. 1 gainer in TV playback on the major networks, spiking by +71% over its L+SD rating after 3 days of TV playback (growing from a 0.7 rating to a 1.2 rating)..
Projections Rationale: Lifts vs. L+SD are based on the 2015-16 season for premiere telecast or an average for originals (excluding the premiere).
Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
