According to The Huffington Post, ABC plans to air a primetime broadcast chronicling Nik Wallenda's attempt to tightrope walk over Niagara Falls. A network spokesman revealed that the three-hour special is scheduled to air June 15.

A portion of the special will rehash some of the greatest daredevil stunts of all time. The Wallenda family is well known for their death-defying acts. Karl Wallenda, great-grandfather of Nik, fell to his death in a tightrope walking attempt in Puerto Rico at the age of 78.

Niagara Falls is routinely the sight of daredevil stunts. Many have attempted to tightrope walk over Niagara River gorge until the practice was made illegal. Wallenda's scheduled stunt will mark the first time anyone has ever attempted to walk over the falls themselves.
