ABC Takes Second Place on Tuesday Night; BACHELOR IN PARADISE Improves in Total Viewers

With its line-up of "Bachelor in Paradise" and "Castaways," ABC finished 2nd on Tuesday in Adults 18-49 (0.9/4) to an "America's Got Talent"-led NBC, while leading Fox's original lineup by 80% (0.5/2 for "Beat Shazam"/"Love Connection"). Trailing only NBC's "America's Got Talent" on the night, ABC's "Bachelor in Paradise" ranked as Tuesday's No. 2 TV show in Adults 18-49 (tied).

Airing head to head from 8:00-10:00 p.m. opposite NBC's "AGT," ABC's "Bachelor in Paradise" outdelivered Fox's unscripted combo of "Beat Shazam"/"Love Connection" in the 2-hour time slot by triple digits in both Total Viewers (+122% - 4.0 million vs. 1.8 million) and Adults 18-49 (+100% - 1.0/5 vs. 0.5/2). "Bachelor in Paradise" improved on both its week-ago Tuesday premiere and year-ago 2nd Tuesday telecast by 5% in Total Viewers each, while holding steady in Adults 18-49 (3.8 million and 1.1/5, respectively, on 8/7/18 and 8/22/17).

At 10:00 p.m., ABC's "Castaways" finished 2nd in its time slot in Adults 18-49 (0.6/3).
