ABC News Announces Coverage of First Presidential Debate Airing 9/26

ABC News will provide comprehensive coverage of the first Presidential debate held on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, at Hofstra University. Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos will lead special coverage from ABC News Election Headquarters in New York from 9:00-11:00 p.m. EDT and will be joined by ABC News' powerhouse political team from New York, Washington, D.C., and at Hofstra University, including "ABC World News Tonight" Anchor David Muir, "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" Co-Anchor Martha Raddatz, Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl, "World News Tonight" Saturday Anchor and Senior National Correspondent Cecilia Vega, "World News Tonight" Sunday Anchor and Correspondent Tom Llamas, "Nightline" co-anchor Byron Pitts, ABC News Political Analyst Cokie Roberts and Special Correspondent and Senior Strategic Advisor Matthew Dowd.

On "Nightline" at 12:35 a.m. EDT, co-anchor Dan Harris will recap all the pivotal moments from the evening, as well as the reaction from the spin room following the debate.

ABC News Digital will have live coverage throughout the day from anchors and correspondents at Hofstra University, inside the spin room, as well as watch parties across the country. ABC News contributors Matthew Dowd and LZ Granderson will kick off evening coverage with original series "Strait Talk," followed by anchored coverage from "Nightline" co-anchor Dan Harris, Digital Host Amna Nawaz and Granderson through the completion of the debate. As part of a partnership announced earlier this week, ABC News' digital coverage of the debates will be streamed live on Facebook, and ABC News will incorporate viewers' comments, questions and conversations in the Facebook Live coverage. ABC News' livestreams will also be available on ABCNews.com, as well as its apps on mobile and OTT.

ABC News Radio will provide extensive coverage of the first Presidential debate with ABC News Radio correspondent Aaron Katersky anchoring from Hofstra University and reporting from ABC News' Brad Mielke. ABC News' Karen Travers will report from Washington, D.C. with ABC News Radio political analysts Steve Roberts and Trey Hardin. There will be an hour-long preview program in addition to live coverage of the debate.

ABC NewsOne, the affiliate news service for ABC News, will provide live reports from the debate site from Correspondents Marci Gonzalez and Stephanie Ramos as well as analysis from Cokie Roberts for more than 200 ABC affiliates and partners.
