Stanley Tucci and Cloris Leachman have joined Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz in the upcoming film ‘Gambit,' the remake of the 1966 Michael Caine-Shirley MacLaine movie, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The movie features a script by Joel and Ethan Coen and will be directed by Michael Hoffman ("The Last Station"). Mike Lobell is producing with Crime Scene Pictures partners Adam Ripp and Rob Paris.
The movie is already shooting in London and will be distributed by CBS Films.

"Gambit" tells the story of a British thief (Firth) who comes up with a plan to steal an expensive statue from an extremely rich man. His strategy involves help from a beautiful woman (Diaz) who is the look-alike of the rich man's late wife.

Tucci made his Broadway debut in The Queen and the Rebels on September 30, 1982. Tucci is known for his work in films such as The Pelican Brief, Kiss of Death, Road to Perdition and Big Night, and in the television series Murder One as the mysterious Richard Cross.

He also received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Winchell. He was nominated for Broadway's Tony Award as Best Actor in a Play for his role as Johnny in the 2002 revival of Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.

Cloris Leachman's Broadway credits include SUNDOWN BEACH, SOUTH PACIFIC, AS YOU LIKE IT, A STORY FOR A SUNDAY EVENING, LO AND BEHOLD!, DEAR BARBARIANS, SUNDAY BREAKFAST, THE CRUCIBLE, KING OF HEARTS, and more.
