TINY KIDS Concert Series Premieres at Rec Room

Cool news for kids AND parents! Rec Room Arts is here to help families beat the heat in the home stretch of summer break! Announcing a brand new family-centered performance event from the creators of GARBAGE ISLAND, the hit Saturday-morning sketch comedy series for kids! Rec Room Arts is thrilled to announce the launch of TINY KIDS CONCERT SERIES, a live music series for families and kids of all ages...with mimosas for mom and dad.

In the spirit of GARBAGE ISLAND, the TINY KIDS CONCERT SERIES is an original, cultural activity for young children, their parents and even grandparents. All ages can enjoy the universal language of music! Every Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m., families can see a different live band or musical act in the Rec Room Theatre. The August schedule is:

August 12th: Houston's Accordion Squeezy Squad
August 19th: Mlee Marie (Hearts of Animals)
August 26th: Tom's Fun Band

Due to the sweeping success of GARBAGE ISLAND, the producers of TINY KIDS CONCERT SERIES expect a bustling turnout! All three of the bands featured are local Houston acts, performing music specifically for tiny tots. >From the accordion-focused sounds of Houston's Accordion Squeezy Squad, to the sugary-sweet vocals of Mlee Marie, to highly popular interactive musical group Tom's Fun Band, children will be introduced to a host of new types of sounds - a combination of kid-centric fun and musical exploration. And of course, dancing is encouraged!

Tickets are $10 general admission for ages 2 and above and each ticket INCLUDES a beverage (mimosa, coffee or juice box)! A 3-Show Pass is available for $25 and guarantees seats for ALL THREE Saturdays. Children under 2 are free to sit on adults' laps.

Rec Room is located at 100 Jackson St Houston, TX 77002 between Commerce and Franklin. Metered street parking available and paid lots surrounding the theatre.

REC ROOM ARTS is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization whose mission is to develop innovative work by emerging and established artists across disciplines in order to energize a new generation for the arts.

REC ROOM is a performance space in downtown Houston where multi-disciplinary arts events are frequent, diverse, and accessible to all. We produce unconventional, out there, edgy, entertaining, laugh-out-loud-till-you-cry, original work including but not limited to concerts, theatre, dance, comedy, podcasts, variety shows, and film screenings. We want our patrons to experience an enriching world beyond their couches.

We believe that live performance isn't something that should be limited to holidays and special occasions. Rather, it should be frequent, diverse, and built into the cultural fabric of a community. Our organization aims to engage, educate, inspire and empower our community through the performing arts. This will help to make our city a competitive center for growth and progress.
