Steel Magnolias to Close Final Weekend at Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre

The Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre is nearing the end of its run of Steel Magnolias, with the production entering its final weekend of performances.

The show is set inside a small-town beauty salon and follows six Southern women whose friendships help carry them through both joyful and difficult moments. According to the theatre, Steel Magnolias is 'a heartfelt celebration of resilience, community, and the unbreakable bond between six extraordinary Southern women,' filled with 'humor, heart, laughter, and unforgettable moments' that reflect how 'even in life's toughest seasons, love and friendship can carry us through.' The theatre has noted that several performances are nearly sold out ahead of the show's closing weekend. Tickets can be purchased through the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre box office.

Upcoming at the Lyceum

The Lyceum Theatre is also promoting a Teen Night ticket offer tied to its upcoming production of The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!), a comedy in which a single storyline is performed in the styles of Broadway songwriters including Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Sondheim, and Rodgers & Hammerstein. Under the promotion, patrons can receive a free teen ticket with the purchase of a regular adult or senior ticket.

Show dates for The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) are September 11th & 12th, 2026 at 7:30pm at the Lyceum Theatre, located at 114 High St, Arrow Rock, MO. Tickets can be booked by calling the box office at (660) 837-3311.

The theatre will also present Glenn Leonard's Temptations Revue on Saturday, October 24 at 2 pm. The show is described as 'a fully produced, national touring show performing only the music of The Temptations,' featuring Glenn Leonard, one of the group's former vocalists. The Temptations, formed in Detroit, Michigan, in 1960, are known for hits including 'My Girl,' 'Ain't Too Proud to Beg,' and 'Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me).' Tickets for the Temptations Revue are available through the Lyceum Theatre box office.
