PledgeMusic Hosts Campaign for 'Jesus Christ Superstar' All Female Cast Concept Studio Album

Morgan James, Torya Beard, and Richard Amelius have partnered with PledgeMusic to announce an exciting new concept album featuring the only all-female cast of Jesus Christ Superstar. On January 16, 2017, a powerful group of women came together at New York City's Highline Ballroom to lend their voices to a sold-out production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar. The stunning show left the audience abuzz with excitement.

As James toured the globe promoting her current studio album, fans peppered her with questions about when the cast would reunite to record a studio version of their electric performance.

Nearly one year later, James, Beard, and Amelius are announcing a follow-up to that incredible evening in the form of a concept album set for digital release on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018.

Recording is set to begin in the spring with many of the original cast members returning to reprise their roles. Broadway alum Shoshana Bean will give voice once more to Judas Iscariot alongside Morgan James in her role as Jesus Christ. Orfeh, Ann Harada, and Debbie Gravitte have also signed on for the star-studded studio recording, along with Ellyn Marie Marsh, Jasmin Walker, Bryonha Marie Parham, Isabel Santiago, Tamika Sonja Lawrence, Edin Espinosa, and Pearl Sun.

Through the pre-order campaign on PledgeMusic, fans who missed the original performance - as well as those who wish to experience it all over again - can enjoy an immersive behind-the-scenes experience. As the leader in direct-to-fan platforms, PledgeMusic enables the artists to give their fans exclusive access that includes not only the album and other assorted goodies, but one-on-one interaction with the cast members themselves.

A $15 donation secures a digital download of the double studio album, as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes content and updates.
