Pentatonix, the acclaimed, chart-topping a cappella vocal quintet, stops at the Orpheum Theatre with their "On My Way Home" tour at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015. Pentatonix (PTX) returns to Minneapolis, following a sold-out appearance at the State Theatre last February, as an even more popular and booming musical sensation. On YouTube they boast more than 6.7 million subscribers with more than 600 million views (besting Beyoncé and Avicii). Pentatonix recently appeared on the Today Show, was featured in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and will be a part of the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting tonight, December 3, in support of their latest release, That's Christmas to Me. Tickets go on sale for the Orpheum Theatre show at 11 a.m., Friday, December 5, 2014. To purchase and for more information visit HennepinTheatreTrust.org or call 1.800.982.2787.

Their March concert will highlight many Pentatonix favorites and a range of material influenced by pop, reggae, dubstep, hip-hop and classical styles, marked by their own distinctive arrangements and vocal percussion. The group is currently celebrating the holiday season with its new That's Christmas To Me, which is number two on Billboard's Top 200 album chart and number one on its Holiday Chart. The release was the group's second album within a month and the fourth in less than a year to debut in the chart's Top 10. It follows their highly successful fourth EP, PTX Vol. III, which debuted in September 2014 at number five on Billboard's Top 200 and was supported with four music videos, "Problem," "La La Latch," "Papaoutai" ft. Lindsey Stirling and "Rather Be," which have been viewed over 29 million times. Their Daft Punk mash up alone has had 103 million views to date. The ensemble also recently collaborated with world-renowned director Baz Luhrmann and Barney's on their Baz Dazzled Christmas.

Pentatonix formed in 2011, originating in Arlington, TX, and came to prominence the same year by winning the third season of "The Sing-Off" on NBC, which came with a cash prize and a recording contract. Its members are Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstie Maldonado, Avid Kaplan and Kevin "K.O" Olusola.
