NPR Favorite Theodore Announces SXSW Schedule

Greek sensation Theodore will be returning to SXSW this year for a rousing round of performances - a captivating mix of classical, piano-driven compositions, with electronic elements ranging from ambient and minimal, to gritty 80s synth-wave. Accompanied by a five-piece band that will bring Inner Dynamics, his swirling, searching vision of sound that premiered on NPR last year, Theodore's SXSW appearances will follow up two shows in New York City as part of The New Colossus Festival.

Performing at last year's SXSW, Theodore made a tremendous impression on Bob Boilen, both during and after the show. In NPR's exclusive album release announcement for 'Inner Dynamics' on All Songs Considered, Bob commented on that magical first meeting:

It was the night that you were leaving, and in fact when we were recording our podcast and I was just about to talk about Theodore, he comes walking past us while we were recording our podcast out on the street. There's something kind of magic about him, his music we both remarked, and remarked to him, had this beautiful feeling of Pink Floyd to it, like lots of adventure, there's lots of external sounds that mix in that aren't necessarily musical, but they become musical in the form that Theodore presents his music.
