MotorCity Casino Hotel welcomes Jackie, Tito, Marlon and Jermaine, The Jacksons to Sound Board on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 8 p.m.

Fondly known as the First Family of music, The Jacksons have been performing since the 60's. Before they were the world's most well-known musicians, they were just brothers singing and dancing in their Gary, Indiana home. In 1965 The Jackson Brothers, who also performed under the name the Jackson Family, became The Jackson 5. Originally comprised of brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael, the group became a worldwide sensation in 1969 with the release of their first Motown Records album, Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5. Singles "I Want You Back" and "Who's Loving You" went on to sell two million copies in six weeks. History was forever changed when the hit single "I Want You Back" went to No.1 on the pop charts, birthing The Jackson 5 franchise.

In 1976 the group moved to a new label and became The Jacksons. That year the group starred in their own variety series on ABC called "The Jacksons" and continued releasing pop singles including, "Enjoy Yourself" and "Show You The Way To Go". Destiny, the first album that gave The Jacksons complete artistic control, went Platinum, selling 20 million copies worldwide. Soon after, the group earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Following the success of Destiny, The Jacksons released the Triumph album, earning Gold and Platinum sales.
