'Merry Christmas Darling: Carpenters' Christmas,' a tribute to popular '70s music group The Carpenters, will bring the group's popular holiday tracks at the Suncoast Showroom this weekend, December 13 and 14.

"Merry Christmas Darling: Carpenters' Christmas" celebrates the classic Carpenters' Christmas recordings, along with an assortment of the group's biggest pop music hits. Accomplished songstress Michelle Berting Brett will take center stage accompanied by a live, seven-piece Nashville band, directed by Harry Sharpe.

Grammy-winning duo Karen and Richard Carpenter sold more than 100 million records and charted twelve Top 10 singles including "(They Long to be) Close to You," "Rainy Days and Mondays," "Yesterday Once More" and "I Won't Last a Day Without You."

Bertling Brett has performed jazz repertoire in her own cabaret and club shows, most notably "Jazz, Torch and Ancient Pop" and "Michelle Bertling Sings Peggy Lee."

Bertling Brett's past performances include singing background vocals for Ronnie Spector of The Ronnettes, recording with music legend Ronnie Hawkins, singing with Marshall Lytle and guesting with Matt "Guitar" Murphy of the Blues Brothers - the opening act for Little Richard at B.B. King Blues Club in New York City.

Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available starting from $15.95, plus tax and convenience fees. Tickets can be purchased at any Boyd Gaming Box Office, by calling 702.636.7075 or visiting www.suncoastcasino.com.
