The Kimmel Center adds yet another block of buzz-worthy artists to their star powered 2014-15 season with eight new shows added. New featured artists include the best in pop, rock, jazz, dance and vocal harmonies.

Grammy© Award-winning rock star Melissa Etheridge brings her This is M.E. Tour to Philadelphia (Nov. 4), followed by John Mellencamp's Plain Spoken Tour (June 16).

South African a cappella sensation Ladysmith Black Mambazo performs new works from their 2014 release, Always With U (Feb. 2), and folk-rock duo Indigo Girls light up Verizon Hall with an eclectic program featuring our own Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (April 12).

Dance takes center stage when electrifying Emmy-nominated choreographers Shaping Sound bring their Dance Reimagined Tour to Merriam Theater (Feb. 11). Broadway stars Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley team up as The Skivvies, an "undie"-rock, comedy-pop duo who literally strip down in underwear for a mash-up performance of eccentric pop tunes (Feb. 12-14). Celtic Woman's 10thAnniversary Tour celebrates the best of Ireland's cultural traditions with a medley of fiddle, dance and song on stage (June 26).

After a nearly sold out debut in Verizon Hall last season, the Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia returns to the Kimmel Center's Perelman Theater with trumpeter Terell Stafford for two intimate performances featuring Philly's own Bootsie Barnes, Jimmy Heath and Larry McKenna (Dec. 3) and a tribute to Billy Strayhorn (May 9).

Single tickets are available and can be purchased by calling 215-893-1999, online at kimmelcenter.org, or at the Kimmel Center Box office, Broad & Spruce Streets (open daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Single tickets for Indigo Girls (April 12) go on sale Oct. 10.

Below are the new 2014-15 performance calendar highlights including Verizon Hall, Perelman Theater, SEI Innovation Studio, Academy of Music, and Merriam Theater programs.
