KYLE GASS BAND Performs New Cardboard Sessions Episode
Kyle Gass plays a cardboard Echopark jazz acoustic guitar in the video series segment.
The KYLE GASS BAND is featured in a new episode of Cardboard Sessions, a video series that pairs musicians with instruments built from cardboard. Kyle Gass, known as half of the GRAMMY Award winning band TENACIOUS D alongside Jack Black, performs the songs TREMENDOUS and MANCHILD using a cardboard Echopark jazz acoustic guitar. The session is presented by Ernest Packaging.
Classically trained. In comedy, at least. As 50% of Tenacious D, Kyle Gass is 100% serious rock. Well, mostly.
There's a certain magic when humor and musicianship collide in an honest way, and this band knows exactly how to live in that pocket. While Kyle's unmistakable personality and wit are always just beneath the surface, what really shines here is the intentional songwriting and the band's undeniable chemistry. Nothing feels like a joke….it just happens to make you smile. And as a bonus, Kyle and his band gave a second performance with 'Manchild'.
Cardboard Sessions has previously featured musicians including Billy Gibbons of ZZ TOP, J Mascis, Matt Sorum, Terry Reid, Daru Jones, Marcus King, Robby Krieger, the PRESERVATION HALL ALL-STAR BAND, LP, Pete Yorn, Meg Myers, and DOGSTAR, playing instruments created by the makers of Cardboard Chaos and Ernest Packaging.
