Since the release of Kaleo's Elektra/Atlantic debut "A/B," the band has been an unstoppable force around the globe, earning critical attention for their distinctive fusion of alternative rock and bluesy melodies and playing some of the world's largest festival stages. Lead singer JJ Julius Son's gritty vocals give the band a powerful dynamic tearing through a range of notes with a soaring falsetto. Kaleo recently performed their single "No Good" on The Late, Late Show with James Corden. Rolling Stone said in album review that the song "stomps like The Black Keys at their meatiest." The single is set to impact at Alternative Radio on 5/8. To watch Kaleo's performance on The Late, Late Show with James Corden, click HERE.
Kaleo's "A/B" has sold 443,000 albums worldwide and 1.2 million single sales. Total worldwide streams of the album have surpassed 100 million with a total consumption (sales + stream equivalents) of more than 915,000. "A/B" includes the multi-format rock singles, "All The Pretty Girls" which impacts at Hot AC on 5/15and the #1 alternative breakthrough "Way Down We Go." "Way Down We Go" marked the band's fourthtop 10 hit at three different radio formats in the US, where it has also been certified Gold, and platinum in Canada, where it reached #3 on the Alternative chart. Last month, the band was honored by SESAC with a performance activity award for "Way Down We Go" at its 2017 Pop Awards event in New York.
The "Kaleo Express" Tour will be the band's second headlining tour, following their nearly sold out "Handprint Tour" last fall, which had a two month-long international run. Singer/songwriter ZZ Ward will support on select North American dates and Judah &The Lion will be supporting all international shows.
