The Hollywood Bowl, one of the leading outdoor music venues in the world and the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, was honored as Top Amphitheater at the 2017 Billboard Touring Awards on Tuesday night at Montage Beverly Hills. Renowned for its exquisite setting and recognized as a premiere destination for performers and audiences alike, the iconic Hollywood Bowl plays host to a tremendous diversity of artists, from classical and pops to jazz, rock, and world music. The Los Angeles Philharmonic also partners with Andrew Hewitt and Bill Silva, who exclusively produce lease events at Hollywood Bowl. The Hollywood Bowl previously received this award in 2010.

The Billboard Touring Awards honor top achievers in the industry, based on Billboard's Boxscore chart data that tracks gate receipts for music, comedy and other live events.

About the Hollywood Bowl One of the largest natural amphitheaters in the world, with a seating capacity of nearly 18,000, the Hollywood Bowl has been the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic since its official opening in 1922, and plays host to the finest artists from all genres of music. It remains one of the best deals anywhere in Los Angeles; to this day, $1 buys a seat at the top of the Bowl for many classical and jazz offerings. The venue offers something for everyone. In February 2017, the Hollywood Bowl was named Best Major Outdoor Concert Venue for the 13th year in a row at the 28th Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards. For millions of music lovers across Southern California, the Hollywood Bowl is synonymous with summer.
