Eddie Redmayne Pays Tribute to Stephen Hawking at His Funeral

Eddie Redmayne, the actor who portrayed Stephen Hawking in the film The Theory of Everything, paid tribute to Hawking at his funeral on Saturday in Cambridge England. According to Deadline, the actor gave a reading from Ecclesiastes during the service.

According to the Associated Press, Nearly 500 guests attended Hawking's funeral, including Astronomer Royal Martin Reese. The service was officiated by the Rev. Cally Hammond, Dean of Cambridge University's Gonville and Caius College, where Hawking was a fellow for 52 years.

Many flags were lowered to half mast in Cambridge in Hawking's honor. He will be cremated and his ashes will be placed in London's Westminster Abbey near Isaac Newton.
