Carl Broemel of My Morning Jacket Kicks Off Fall Tour

Carl Broemel of My Morning Jacket will set out on his headlining tour on 10/6 in support of his new solo LP 4th of July (Stocks in Asia/Thirty Tigers). These dates come on the heels of two raucous sold-out record release performances in Nashville and Louisville. To mark the special occasion of these shows, Carl is releasing the entire Nashville show on Nugs.net. Carl will follow up his October run of shows with a co-headlining tour with Dave Simonett of Trampled by Turtles. A full list of dates is below. Tickets are available here.

To add to the excitement, Carl Broemel's Birmingham, AL show at Work Play will feature special guests: Russ Pollard (Everest) on drums, Adam Landry (Deer Tick) on guitars, Tom Blankenship (My Morning Jacket) on bass and Danny Mitchell on keyboards.

Carl has also released the video for the song "Crawlspace" directed by Eric Hopper and shot against the lush backdrop of a winery outside Seattle, WA.

o-produced by Teddy Morgan, 4th of July features fellow My Morning Jacket members Bo Koster and Tom Blankenship, with Koster co-writing a few tracks. Additional guest appearances include Neko Case, Laura Veirs, Russ Pollard, Shelly Colvin, Richard Medek, and Jordan Caress. Recorded between album and tour cycles, 4th of July is a reflective meditation. It examines the passage of time marveling at how different our lives look now from the engrained images of ourselves that we've held onto from the past.
