New Politics released their fourth studio album, Lost In Translation, out today via DCD2/Warner Bros. Records. To celebrate, the band appeared on last night's episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers to perform the album's lead single, "One Of Us" which has now accumulated over 7 million streams and reached the top 10 at Alternative radio. The band made a bold statement by wearing "End Gun Violence" and "Gun Control Now" t-shirts for the taping. The 10-track album, which includes "Lifeboat," "Madeline," and "Color Green," has earned early praise from the likes of Alternative Press who applauds, "If you thought New Politics couldn't get any catchier, their latest full-length is here to prove you wrong."

The band shares a note about the album:
"Lost In Translation represents a new phase in our lives. After years of constant touring, it was important to us that we reinvent ourselves, and wanted to write honest songs about the real things happening in our lives. We spent a lot of quality time together in-between albums as friends, watching movies, hanging out, and talking about our future plans. That brotherly love and bonding initiated the first batch of songs that has helped us shape the album. A lot of the songs are about personal experiences and the things every human goes through and it was nice to let go of the rules we had laid out for ourselves. It's a new era for all of us, and we're proud of how it's turned out. Lost In Translation means that we're all searching for something, whether it's a voice, meaning, a place where we belong; we all face our own challenges. This is about shaping your reality and trying to make sense of the journey along the way."
New Politics - consisting of Danish-born David Boyd [lead vocals, guitar] and Søren Hansen [bass, guitar, keys, vocals], as well as NY native Louis Vecchio [drums] - exploded onto the scene with their smash hit "Harlem," earning more than 31 million Spotify streams and reaching the top 5 of alternative radio. The band has since released three studio albums featuring a slew of hit singles, including "Everywhere I Go" and "Tonight You're Perfect," securing major syncs in Frozen, America's Got Talent, ESPN, Bud Light, Doritos, and more. New Politics have made the full late night circuit, performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers and CONAN, and played to sold out crowds around the world, touring with everyone from Pink and Fall Out Boy to Paramore, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. Earlier this summer, the band completed a 30+ date North American tour with 311.
