Broadway to Lend Voices to Free Original LGBT Expo This Weekend

Cast members from The Book of Mormon, Disney's The Lion King, Jersey Boys, and more will perform at the Original LGBT Expo, the largest and longest-running LGBT convention in the world this weekend at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

The event is free of charge. Performers will be representing the award-winning non-for-profit charity Broadway Sings for Pride.

Scheduled to sing on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2:15-2:45p will be:

In an effort to be fully inclusive, Life Out Loud Events, producers of the LGBT Expo have taken yet another step forward. For the first time in its storied history, the LGBT Expo will be 100 percent free to attend. For more information, visit thelgbtexpo.com.

The weekend will feature over 300 exhibiting companies this Saturday and Sunday (many LGBT owned and operated), seminars, films, live entertainment and more.

ABOUT BROADWAY SINGS FOR PRIDE:

- We have raised thousands for the LGBT community. Our past shows have benefited: The Tyler Clementi Institute, The Hetrick-Martin Institute, The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York City.

- Honors: Wagner College Citizen Alum Award Honoree, Long Island Gay and Lesbian Film Festival's Non-Profit Organization All-Star Award, Tyler Clementi Foundation's The Upstander Legacy Honoree Host Committee Member, and a four-time nominee for "Most Valuable Campaign" & "Most Valuable Organizer" from the New Organizing Institute.

- We have performed at: Mets Citi Field Pride, NYC Pride Events, Couture Fashion Week, Staten Island Yankees Richmond County Bank Ballpark, Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Splash Club, Bamboo 52, TADA! - Worked with over 200 Broadway/Theater performers.
