Join the Ann Arbor Symphony at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Ann Arbor on January 18th at 1:30 pm for our continuing chamber recital series. Open to listeners of all ages, this hour-long concert features the Schumann Piano Quintet in E Flat Major Op. 44 and the Haydn String Quartet, Op. 77, No. 1. The all-star ensemble features Arie Lipsky, Aaron Berofsky, Kathryn Votapek, Caroline Coade & Christopher Harding.

Arie Lipsky is Music Director and Conductor of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra. A musician's musician, a most collaborative of conductors, and a community-recognized leader, at this recital Arie Lipsky trades in his baton for his beloved cello. Lipsky leads the Chautaqua Institution Summer Chamber program where he serves on the faculty and as coach.

Aaron Berofsky is the Concertmaster of the A2SO. Berofsky has performed with orchestras in the United States, Germany, Italy, Spain and Canada. He has performed at renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and the the Museo de Bellas Artes, and has also been featured on NPR. Berofsky was a featured soloist on the NAXOS recording of music by Paul Fetler, performed by the Ann Arbor Symphony, including the debut recording of Fetler's Concerto No. 2.

Kathryn Votapek is the of the A2SO. Votapek has been a

Caroline Coade is the Assistant Principal Viola at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Coade has performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. Coade is a lecturer of Music and viola at The University of Michigan School of Music.

Christopher Harding is the Associate Concertmaster, member of the Chester String Quartet for 15 years, violinist and violist Votapek maintains an active career as soloist and as guest artist at chamber music festivals throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and Central America. Votapek has been Guest Lecturer of Violin and Viola at the University of Michigan. Associate Professor of Piano Performance and Chamber Music, and Chair of the Piano Department at The University of Michigan, School of Music, Theatre & Dance. Harding has given frequent solo, concerto, and chamber music performances in venues as far flung as the Kennedy Center and Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C., Suntory Hall in Tokyo, the National Theater Concert Hall in Taipei, the Jack Singer Concert Hall in Calgary, and halls and festival appearances in Newfoundland, Israel, Romania, and China.
