Set in 1972, this timeless, romantic drama centers on Don Baker, a young blind man who has just struck out on his own despite the objections of his over-protective mother. He is renting a shabby apartment in NYC to pursue his dream of becoming a song writer and soon becomes involved with his kooky, sexy neighbor, Jill Tanner - an aspiring actress. When Don's mother meets Jill, her controlling instincts go into overdrive.
