Photos: CURTAINS! At Canterbury Woods Performing Arts Center
Nicholas Lama leads the cast as Lt. Frank Cioffi in this Kander & Ebb whodunit musical
O’Connell & Company will present the Tony Award–winning musical comedy mystery Curtains, running through May 19 at the Canterbury Woods Performing Arts Center. Check out photos of the production.
From the legendary creators of Chicago and Cabaret, Curtains features a book by Rupert Holmes, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and music by John Kander, with additional lyrics by Kander and Holmes. Based on an original concept by Peter Stone.
Set in 1959 Boston, Curtains follows the opening night of a struggling musical—until the leading lady drops dead center stage. Enter Lieutenant Frank Cioffi, a charming detective with a love for theatre… and a knack for solving murders. As the investigation unfolds, everyone becomes a suspect: the overly ambitious producer, the feuding songwriting team, the temperamental director, the hopeful understudy, and even the cast members themselves. With egos as big as their jazz hands, secrets abound—and the killer may still be in the room.
The production is directed and choreographed by Joey Bucheker, with musical direction by Joe Isgar. The creative team includes Rich Meranto (Scenic Design), Timmy Goodman (Costume Design), Jay Marks (Lighting Design), and Alley Griffin (Stage Manager).
The cast features Nicholas Lama as Lt. Frank Cioffi, Lisa Ludwig as Carmen Bernstein, Ashleigh Chrisena Ricci as Niki Harris, Aimee Walker as Georgia Hendricks, Joe Isgar as Aaron Fox, Emily Weber as Bambi Bernet, John Kreuzer as Christopher Belling, Phil Salemi Jr. as Sidney Bernstein, Michael Seitz as Daryl Grady, Christopher Andreana as Johnny Harmon, Guy Tomassi as Oscar Shapiro, Steven Saelzler as Bobby Pepper, and Maria Kreutinger as Jessica Cranshaw.
They are joined by a dynamic ensemble including Bryan Sharry, Jessie Ferkin, Cody Gooley, Rylie Randall, Daniel Bills-Warman, Kaylee Chernoff, and Matti LaVigne.
Tickets are available now at oconnellandcompany.com or by calling 716-848-0800.
