OYE! Avant Garde Night is an annual festival devoted to the development of new performances by artists from Bushwick and surrounding areas. Brooklyn Gypsies created OYE! as a platform to celebrate and share what is unique about Bushwick's converging arts communities. Join us for a night of eclectic theater, dance & film, including a melodrama puppet opera of two electrons in the throes of Nitrogen Fixation and a man wandering the silk road. Performances followed by music, conversation, food and dancing.

The M's second psychic night was a rousing success. With lines out the door for tarot card readings, it was a good thing that Mary Elizabeth Micari invited guest reader Giovanni Conti to join her at the tables. People came from as near as down the block and as far as Long Island to learn what was in the cards for them from experienced readers, Mary and Giovanni. 'We were excited to come, so we made a night of it, we went to one of the restaurants here and then after, we went for drinks ... I miss Brooklyn!' exclaimed Gina Ocello.

Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce President Carlo A. Scissura today announced the winners of the 2014 Building Brooklyn Awards. Now in its fourteenth year, the Building Brooklyn Awards recognizes recently completed construction and renovation projects that enrich Brooklyn's diverse neighborhoods and economy. Thirteen projects in a variety of categories will receive awards this year in a ceremony that will take place on July 23 at Weylin B. Seymour's in the beautifully restored Williamsburgh Savings Bank building in Williamsburg, which won one of this year's awards. The announcement was made at the Only Brooklyn Real Estate Summit at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

God's Love We Deliver marked a significant milestone in its history when the organization cooked and delivered its 15 millionth meal on Friday, May 2. God's Love was joined by many friends - old and new - including comedian, actress, talk show host, businesswoman and God's Love Board member Joan Rivers who helped lid and "kachunga" the 15 millionth meal. The milestone coincides with the 29th anniversary of when God's Love We Deliver's Founder, Ganga Stone, delivered a meal to Richard, a man living with AIDS, and the organization was born.
