The Heights Players will continue their season with 9 to 5: The Musical, featuring music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and a book by Patricia Resnick. Based on the beloved 1980 film, this vibrant production brings humor, heart, and a whole lot of attitude to the stage.

Set in the late 1970s, 9 to 5 follows three working women - Violet, Doralee, and Judy - as they navigate the challenges of a male-dominated workplace. When pushed too far by their egotistical and overbearing boss, the trio band together in an unexpected act of rebellion that turns their office upside down. What unfolds is a hilarious and empowering story of friendship, resilience, and taking control of your own narrative.

Under the direction of Felisha Heng, this production highlights the strengths of the Heights Players community, bringing together a talented cast and creative team to deliver a show that is as entertaining as it is meaningful. From lively choreography to colorful costumes and a fast-paced narrative, 9 to 5 promises a theatrical experience full of energy and charm.

9 to 5 stars Andrea Mathews as Violet, Alexus Voss as Doralee, Allison St. Rock as Judy, Jason Santel as Franklin Hart Jr., Michelle Maccarone as Roz Keith, Freddy Millan as Joe, Tyler White as Dwayne/Hart u/s, Pacco Yang as Josh, Matthew Ludowese as Dick, LaRena Iocco as Missy, Nancy Madonna as Maria, Amanda Briskin-Wallace as Kathy, and Alicia Kee as Margaret. The ensemble features Paige Boomer, Kirsten Lynn Butler, James Canal, Morgan Cavendish, Omari Marcel, Hodge Podge, Brandon Prater, Eva Reich, Lizbeth Santillan, and Dylan Warner.

Performances on Friday, May 8th and Saturday, May 9th will be led by Morgan Cavendish as Violet, Kirsten Lynn Butler as Doralee, and Eva Reich as Judy.

As the Heights Players bring this story to life, audiences can expect plenty of laughs, memorable performances, and a reminder that change is always possible when people come together.

9 To 5 The Musical will run at The Heights Players, 26 Willow Place, Brooklyn Heights from May 1st - 17th, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm, and Sundays at 2:00pm.
