Sean Swenson's NANCY Will Make New York Premiere at Brick Aux in Brooklyn
The cast features Gabs Ethridge and Sam Grace Lane, with direction by Em Hausmann
Humor, history, and uncanny haunts combine in the New York premiere of Sean Swenson's Nancy, set to run at the Brick Aux Studio (628 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11211) for four performances on June 25, 26, 27, and 28, 2026 at 7PM. Tickets start at $20.
In Nancy, a trans agoraphobe strikes up an online correspondence with a Mephistophelean figure named Jack, who promises to rebuild them in his image, before forces both mundane and divine intervene - including a blank verse-speaking Joan of Arc, a neighbor who won't stop watching Heat (1995), and an archangel with a thousand hands.
The cast includes playwright Sean Swenson, Gabs Ethridge, and Sam Grace Lane, with a special appearance by Matthew Antoci and more performers to be announced soon.
The creative team is made up of Swenson, director Em Hausmann, stage manager Cori Diaz, lighting designer Whimzee Lee Hanna, music and sound designer Mav Leslie, press agent Sarah Jae Leiber, and poster artist Lou Barcott.
Nancy comes with a content warning for violence, sex, and gender trouble.
