Tartuffe at Bristol Community College Theatre

Bristol Community College's Theatre program presents Tartuffe, Molière's classic comedy, in a hybrid production featuring professional artists, students, and community performers. First performed in 1664, the play follows Orgon, a wealthy patriarch who falls under the spell of a charismatic religious impostor, while his family scrambles to expose the truth before Tartuffe's manipulation destroys their household. Through escalating farce and comic turns, the satire exposes humanity's enduring vulnerability to hypocrisy disguised as virtue. Performances run April 9-11 and April 16-18, 2026, at 7 p.m., in the Jackson Arts Center Theatre on the Bristol Fall River Campus.
