Oy, What They Said About Love at Falmouth Jewish Congregation

Acclaimed playwright, actor, and comedian Steve Budd kvetches and kvells his way through the trials of modern relationships in Oy, What They Said About Love, a hilarious and heartfelt solo show coming to the Falmouth Jewish Congregation on August 2nd. Steve takes the audience along on his relentless search for his bashert, or soulmate. Wondering why everyone else seems able to tie the knot while he can't, Steve interviewed couples from all walks of life to uncover what brought them together—and what keeps them from pulling apart. Along the way, he transformed their stories into more than a dozen vivid characters, from a Jewish couple who met on Craigslist to an interfaith pair whose romance began on Halloween, while reflecting on the one relationship from his own past that still weighs heavily on his heart. Blending personal storytelling with documentary theater, Oy, What They Said About Love explores how people find each other, make it to the chuppah, and weather the push and pull of relationships--and why some can't seem to settle down.
