The 2026 Lowell Folk Festival is a three-day free public celebration of world music, dance, and culture held across multiple stages in downtown Lowell. The festival features over 60 performances spanning genres including Puerto Rican cuatro, zydeco, Delta blues, Cabo Verdean funaná, Tuvan throat singing, Andean scissors dance, Mardi Gras Indian music, bluegrass, and more. Artists include Fabiola Mendez, Elida Almeida, Melissa Carper and Emily Gimble, Geno Delafose and French Rockin' Boogie, Super Chikan and the Fighting Cocks, Catherine Russell, Alash, and many others. The festival also features moderated talk and demonstration sessions, a Discovery Lowell Playspace Family Stage, an Experience Lowell Marketplace, and Global Foods vendors.
