A scathing indictment of apartheid told through the eyes of two biracial brothers.

Set in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, fair-skinned Morris and dark-skinned Zachariah are brothers with different fathers. When Zachariah's white pen-pal girl comes to visit, the brothers develop a plan for Morris to pass himself off as Zachariah.
