An Evening with Marc Shaiman: Never Mind the Happy: Showbiz Stories from a Sore Winner at Jean McDonough Art Center's BrickBox Theater

Marc Shaiman, Tony, Grammy, and Emmy Award-winning composer, lyricist, and music producer, celebrates his New York Times best-selling memoir in an evening of candid conversation, surprising stories, and live music. Shaiman is known for his work on Broadway musicals including Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Some Like It Hot, and Smash, as well as films such as When Harry Met Sally, Sister Act, and South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. The evening will be moderated by Jared Bowen, host of GBH's The Culture Show, and will feature special guests including Worcester native Michael Skrzek, fresh off the national tour of Some Like It Hot, and Worcester Public School students performing music from Hairspray.
