An Evening with Adolphus Hailstork, Celebrating the Composer's 85th Birthday at Kaufman Music Center at Merkin Hall

Marshall Opera celebrates composer Adolphus Hailstork during his 85th birthday year with a program of his songs, conducted by Mark Shapiro. The program is performed by sopranos Nicoletta Berry and Maria Brea, tenor Joshua Blue, and baritone Jorell Williams. The evening includes the world premiere of Our Land, along with Nobody Knows, Summer.Life.Song, Four Romantic Love Songs, Sing Her a Song, and excerpts from the opera Common Ground. Mark Shapiro leads an ensemble of violinists, violist, cellist, double bassist, clarinetist, harpist and pianist.
