The American Spiritual Ensemble, founded and directed by Everett McCorvey, performs God's Trombones, Frank Waring's musical arrangement of James Weldon Johnson's anthology of seven Negro sermons in verse, along with other spirituals from their repertoire. The ensemble previously appeared on Music Worcester's schedule in 2024 and 2026 to great success.
