The GRAMMY-winning Harlem Quartet joins jazz musicians Steve Wilson, Renee Rosnes, and David Wong to fuse classical and jazz forms in an evening featuring three world premieres. The program includes a new work commissioned for the Festival and composed by Rosnes for jazz trio and string quartet, as well as two new arrangements by GRAMMY-winning composer Maria Schneider of her pieces Sky Blue and Walking by Flashlight. The concert also features Fanny Mendelssohn's String Quartet in E-flat Major and Aldo López-Gavilán's Frère Jacques, performed in Falmouth on August 13 and Wellfleet on August 14.
